You're Not Unqualified.
You're lost in translation.
Career Compass
The G.L.O.W. Method
A 4-week system to go from "I'll take anything" to a resume, LinkedIn profile, and interview stories that get you hired.
Workbook & Masterclass and/or Coaching Available to Get Clear. Get Seen. Get Hired.
Transform from "I’m open to anything (role/job)" to "I'm the obvious choice."
You just don’t know how to translate it into a powerful resume, LinkedIn profile YET.
You're working incredibly hard. You just can't articulate why anyone should hire you.
You finish a project, hit a deadline, ship the thing, and immediately move to the next one. No pause. No reflection on "here's what I'm actually good at."
So when it's time to write a resume, update LinkedIn, or answer "tell me about yourself" in an interview, you freeze, or worse, you sound like everyone else.
That's not a writing problem. It's a clarity problem. And it's costing you interviews, promotions, being seen.
What is the The G.L.O.W. Method?
G.L.O.W. is a framework for turning your work history into proof, not vague claims and leaning into the exact language recruiters and hiring managers are trained to look for.
G — Goal. What did success look like? What challenge were you solving, and why did it matter?
L — Leadership & involvement. What did you specifically do — not your team, you?
O — Others & collaboration. Who did you work with, and how?
W — Win & wisdom. What was the outcome? What did you learn?
Here's what it does to a resume line:
Before: "Owned the end-to-end design process with minimal supervision."
After: "Owned the end-to-end design process with minimal supervision, delivering intuitive, user-focused solutions that streamlined workflows and improved cross-team efficiency, resulting in higher adoption rates and faster project delivery."
Same fact. Completely different impact. The first is a line anyone could write. The second is proof a hiring manager can't ignore
The 4 Week G.L.O.W. System:
Week 1 — Build your foundation.
Assessments, values, work history, and a clear target role so you stop guessing what to go after.Week 2 — Create your brand and assets.
Extract the themes employers actually want, build your G.L.O.W. stories, and draft a resume that leads with impact.Week 3 — Create your visibility.
LinkedIn, elevator pitch, and a real networking strategy — because 70%+ of jobs come through people, not applications.Week 4 — Generate momentum.
Apply strategically, prep for interviews using your own G.L.O.W. stories, and build the habits that keep you moving.

“Shannon played a huge role in helping me land my new role. She has a real gift for articulating people’s strengths and value, and making sure that comes across clearly and confidently.”
When you're open to anything, 3 things happen:
You fall into anything — landing a role that's a band-aid, not a fit, and you're back here again in a year.
Your search takes longer — without specificity, nobody (including you) can tell why you're qualified.
You lose to people who are clearer than you — your competition is targeted. If you're broad, you don't stand out, no matter how good you are.
Spraying resumes into a void isn't a strategy.
It's a coping mechanism for not knowing what to say about yourself YET.

The meat of my coaching has been in technical environments working with software and hardware engineers, DevOps, data analytics, and more at all levels from first tech role through VP.
I’ve also heavily worked with marketing, sales, account executives, and many more.
I’m also very interested in working with first generation college students and professionals. As someone who identifies as such and has seen how much someone can benefit by being empowered to advocate for themselves, know their value, experience social capital (networking!), and explore careers many don’t exist, it’s important to me. -
As a job seeker, working with a career coach can help you identify your target work, identify your non-negotiables and values, and most importantly, help you develop a narrative and assets outlining your value. I have found that most folks, after working with 100’s, have a difficult time knowing how skilled they are and how to connect their experience to where they want to go. They end up with a resume that doesn’t work for them, interviewing stories that are too broad, and often feel isolated and confused on how to move forward. By having dialogue around all this, I help you articulate all of this!

Most resumes I’ve seen over the years tell a story of where they’ve been, and not targeted where they want to go. They also miss key elements, like the title of the role you want to go in, and miss impact. I’m driven to help you make your resume (and LinkedIn profile) resonate more closely with where you want to go and make it easy to connect with hiring managers and recruiters.

Yes, I can help you with mock interviews! When I work with clients on their interview skills I hone in on making sure they are telling good stories, inferring their value, and putting proof in everything they say. (ex: Tell me about a strength you have. What is the strength and back it up with how that’s benefited you in the work space). Many interviewers are too vague and leave interviewers questioning what they bring to the table. I’m driven to help you make a great first impression and get you taken seriously as a candidate through mock interview practice.

After working with 100’s of people over the years, I find that people are amazing, have incredible skills and talents, but don’t realize it or know how to talk about it or put it on a resume. I find this is the case at all levels from college graduates to VP’s in a company and everything in between. We were trained to be good employees, but not how to toot our horn. We are too busy trying to prove ourselves at work that we don’t take a step back to summarize what we accomplished. When I talk to people about what they have done, ask good questions, look under the hood, everyone has something amazing to share that I re-frame in a way that makes sense for have value in your resume and your dialogue.
I don’t want you to hire me if you aren’t ready or force you to, but why wait? Why not start to take steps to elevate yourself now? Please always feel free to ask my any questions too. -
I’ve been heavily coaching since 2018, completed ICF coach training through Lumia and received their Level II certification in March of 2024.
I went on to achieve my International Coaching Federation, Accredited Credentialed Coach in August of 2024 with the required 100 hours of coaching, and secured my Professional Credentialed Coach in December of 2024 after securing more than 500 hours of coaching. (and these tallies didn’t start until September 2023) -
